Natural Body Flow 1800

Natural Body Flow 1800 is built around the moments between poses: the weight still travelling from one foot to the other, the arm that hasn't caught up with the torso yet. Reference for artists whose figures need to look like they arrived somewhere rather than being placed there.

Most pose libraries are made of held positions. The model settles, the shutter fires, and by then the body has already stopped moving. Natural Body Flow works the other way round — 1800 references of a figure in transition, where the weight is still crossing from one foot to the other and the arms have not caught up with the ribcage yet. What's in this pack

Flowing, unforced figure reference rather than a catalogue of named positions. The kind of transitions ordinary movement is made of — standing into sitting, turning, reaching, settling — with the in-between frames left in instead of edited out. Those in-between frames are the useful ones, and they are also the frames almost nobody shoots on purpose, which is a large part of why drawn figures so often look arranged even when the artist meant them to look alive.

Quantity matters for this particular subject. A single frame of a turn tells you very little. A run of frames tells you that the head leads, the shoulders lag, and the spine pays for both.
