Frozen Vol 2

The second volume of the Frozen series of held, arrested poses. Volume two exists because a pose library gets used up: this is the additional material that keeps a long-pose practice from turning into a set of remembered drawings.

A second volume exists for a practical reason. Work seriously through a pose library and you use it up — not because the images stop being good, but because you stop seeing them. By the fourth pass you are drawing your memory of a pose rather than the pose itself, and the corrections stop coming. Frozen Vol 2 continues the series with fresh material for exactly that point in a practice. Where this volume sits

Same premise as the rest of the series: the figure caught still and held, treated as a subject in its own right. What changes with a second volume is not the idea but the depth of the well. If you have already been through the first volume, this is where the rotation gets long enough that a pose has gone cold by the time it comes round again. What you'll practice
